You can't do anything to ICICI - they are private banks and the way they have agreements when you send money - they can tweak dates when to actually dump the cash , change exchange rates anytime ( within a reasonable range) to increase their Profit margins. Its just a smart way of doing business and making - i wont call that 'stealing money'
If you want to be smarter than them jump to online SBI boat , they have the best Online rate and let ICICI know next time that you switched loyalty because they were getting smarted beyond range.

Let me know how you feel the online SBI - they are always 15-10 p more than ICICI or CITI so at the end of year if you save average $25k you are anyway saving Rs 2.5-3k. Not a big thing but they maintain some ethics about tweaking rates and the exact day they dump the cash to your account - i got about 43.25 when market rate was 43.57 and those smart banks ( or thieves) were doing around 43.07..43.12

Fact is many of us are in a bad state for the options we have selected in our lives.
There is an organization like IV which is trying to help all of us. Infact IV members consist of people whose priority dates have been retrogressed for a long long time.
Also past 2 years (yes 2 years !!), some bills have been passed in only in Senate and hence fully did not become a law.
Hopefully something will happen and give us relief. My advise , don't forget to help IV where you can.

I have been victim on more than 1 occasion for each of above tactics. Each time its annoyance ( writing letter. nothing gets done online), fees charged and increased blood pressure.
Unfortunately switching costs are high due to time taken to open new accounts and there is no guarantee that others are any better.

If we have enough of that to guarantee a decent source of recurring income like 20 40 k or whatevr, I dont see the need to deprive some depressed soul surfing the net looking for some reassuring information from having to goto bed in peace.

If figures provided to Senator are true and way Govt agencies working right now. I think first they will Put hard rule for Eb2 qualification. So almost they can shut door for Eb2. They may only allow 20k orless Eb2 in a year. For next 2 years no more spill over to Eb3. That way they can make Eb2 complete clear and becasue of tough policies it will remain C forever.

Yes, we believed in a process and planned accordingly but as we get going we suddenly see that the goal post is not visible anymore, it has been removed and moved far putting us all into a limbo state.
It is definitely our right and not a previlige. When we do not see a goal post and don't know where we are heading we do have right to ask "why and what is the solution".
Though we are not citizens we do have the right to seek a fair system.

I am sorry, not a computer guy, but can mass mailing for funding alerts from IV be possible to "loyal customers only"? I am not sure I am giving the right idea/ thought. But what I am thinking is lets say this Administrative cost re-imbursment works, can we send to selected 1000- 2000 non-core member like anzerraja or khodalmd (for example) and ask them to send money? In reality, many companies who have subsidiaries abroad can use L1 visa program. But H1B offers flexibility that is much desired by many companies. (It is very less abused compared to H1B). No numerical cap on L1B may not go well with many of us. But I am very +ve that the visas are not issued in anticipatory mode like H1B. And why do companies spend 5K if they do not want to get the worker here? Do they like waste money just like that?

I never got any LUDs but got a denial on my 485 after going through the AC21/NOID stuff way back in August, 2008.
There could be some background processing going on.
Is there are pattern to these LUDs?
What steps did you take after the NOID on your 485? Just curious in case it happens to me.
