I'm not working in the IT industry and this is the first time I have some idea about what the desi companies are doing in US. Yes, I think these desi companies and people who conducted those fraudulent behaviors are partly responsible for our situation here. I believe most H1B holders are decent people while some like those mentioned in the article are nuts. Bad purges good. Now all H1b holders have to pay the price.
Besides, I think those who conducted these fraudulent behavior do not deserve to be called "high-skilled workers".

If citibank is good, all should move to citibank if they are fair in runinng business.
Before closing account with ICICI we all should send an mail with similar message why we are closing account through ICICI website after login.
They should be aware how fast they loose customers because of bad customer services especially when they cheat.

We recently got the Atlas America Insurance with 0 deductible and got two visits done for my father(chest infection). Got antibiotics prescribed, blood test done, physical checkup done. Went very smooth, no payments at all.
Said that, someone who has tested a Emergency visit or a Specialist visit or an Intensive care visit should be able to give us a better idea of who fares better.
Till date, other then a PCPs visit, I have not heard any good reviews for any insurance cos(agents).
And then there are so many agents/sub-agents floating around, that even the genuine ones dont seem so genuine.
We should have a AM/S&P kinda rating system for Visitors insurance.

my 2 cents!!
if you are single and apply for 485 and get a EAD can still being ur wife from India on H4 as long as u DO NOT use EAD and DO NOT get 485 approved.
EAD to me has major benefits for the spouse. I think everyone agrees that 485 retrogression gona happen ... so if that happens u cannot get a 485 approval or add ur wife till almost close to 485 approval .. as ur PD wont be current. In this period u will never be able to use EAD as ur dependent will go out of H4 status ...
Also it is never recommended to use EAD and maintain H1 status ... so to me if you are single and have no plans as of yet to get married u will not use the interim benefits and pay EAD fee every year.
u will be in the 485 queue and if anything changes about green card u are atleast far enough to not to start ur application from beginning... also if for some reason u decide to use ur EAD the way around is ur wife to get another Visa like F1 ....

My 4 year old would sponsor my GC after 17 years. I have already made her sign the paper work. Who knows, after living 21 years in this country, she can change her mind too.:D:D:D

Senate republicans will be working hard to come up with something that addressess the immigration problem. Senate republicans know that border security and immigration is an important issue and they just can not ignore it. So please contribute.

Also converting to an f1 has SERIOUS implications. For starters you have to shell out a LOT of money for a full time degree. Secondly in some cases the person may STILL not be eligible to apply for an H1 coz that job profile.

I have taken my Ex - employer to DOL and USCIS and I was successful getting my money back.
If you go with lawsuit then it becomes partially a Civil case rather than criminal offense.

Here is a suggestion for you:
1) Book a round trip ticket for your wife to fly back immediately. Meanwhile, take an appointment for your wife with a local USCIS cert civil surgeon to take the TB test/vaccine. Take it wherever you can get it -near or far.
2) Get lawyer to draft the RFE response. Submit the doc's report to lawyer as soon as you get it. (most surgeons will give it in a day or two after checking the bump.)
This whole process should be done in less than a week if you can prepare everything else before your wife gets here.
3) Wife flies back and continues with rest of vacation with kids. You can have your Euro vacation at the end too! :)
Downside: Twins will have to be away from Mom for a week.
Upside: Monetary Losses and life disruption cut as short as possible.

Plus, to add to the complication, I've also confirmed ticket to meet them at Frankfurt on their way to US. My Euro vacation for a week would collapse and have to cancel everything.
