Sorry that the IO couldn't assign you a visa number.
Lessons learned:
(1) Keep Fedex delivery proof for receipt date in addition to I-485 notice
(2) Keep the memo concerning July fiasco
(3) Memo for AC 21 if it applies.

However, kindly note that immigrant friendly laws and economic (job) opportunities are different subjects.
People do not want to go to other countries because the job oppportunities are less. Not because the immigration rules are bad :)
People want to come to the USA because job opportunities are better, not because the immigration rules are friendly :)

Being an immigrant you have broken the law by hiring someone to work illegally. Didn't you and your wife break the law?
You have already witnessed a child abuse and now pondering whether to report this to a law enforcement or not. Again you are breaking the law by not reporting a child abuse. Remember, abetting a crime is also a crime.
This country has given us so much including good wealth and health(except GC) and we enjoy every thing, but in return what we do is to do these kind of illegal activities.
This country let us and our spouse to work, make hell lot of money. I am not saying we are making easy money, but after having two incomes, we run around with coupons and look for cheap things or do things that are cheap. WHY?
What are we going to do with that money man? This is nothing but a greediness.
Anyway, your child has gone thru a nightmare and as a parent/father you MUST report this to a law enforcement office. You can not let this child abuser go scot-free.

Giving GC to STEM graduates is not the right way. If US needs to keep these educated people in US then US needs to make sure these educated people get an H1B without any issues and then they are on the path to GC like everyone else because H1B is a dual intenet visa. Jumping from a F1 visa to a GC visa is not correct as F1 visa is not a immigration intenet visa

We are in the Subset of 140 Approved in TSC and 485 applied in NSC (07-28 Lud)
it seems our 485 could have been transfered to TSC
the LUD was for the Transfer i guess
we have now to look at TSC Dates for our RNs
looks like long time to go !!!!

On the same note I have a question for the Gurus.
My name is reversed ( first name and last name interchanged) on my SSN and hence on my credit cards, employment letters etc though my name is correct on my passport , H1 , I-797 and on files AOS.. etc.
Will this pose a problem in the name check process?
My attorney said I should change my name with SSN after EAD/AP arrives.
Let me know ur opinions.

Name change depends on what exactly you are changing. If it is just the order of first name / last name, then you can get an endorsement in the passport.
Following is fyi based on my experience. I got my spouse's name completely changed in the US (Changed first name, last name, and removed middle name).
Before the change her passport the visa , immigration documents, SSN, Cred card, bank acct, Drivers license, etc were with maiden name and last name.
For name change in the US, I had to go to the local county court and get a name change order. This took a day in my county - may take longer depending on where you live. This court order is enough for updating all docs in the US such as SSN, Credit card, license, acct, etc.
For Indian passport, you need an affidavit and 2 newspaper clippings one in US and one in India. I placed an ad in the classifieds section of the local newspaper (costs $25 - no documents required). For Indian newspaper, I had to send these docs to the classifieds dept of the newspaper:
Local US court order copy with attestation from Indian consulate. (Gazette order is not required.)
After this I got new passport in new name.
For USCIS:
You have to send attested copies of court order copy, Drivers license with new name, and new passport along with copies of past immigraiton documents The records will be updated during the next visa extension. You are very good critic, I hope your criticism will lead people into right direction.
ya, lets step-up a poll and have everyone vote, as if this is the US congress. And after voting leave it for someone else to work on this and other "brilliant" idea. There needs to be a reality check. This poll doesn't mean anything unless there are enough people to spend time and energy at every level. But ya, lets setup a poll and have everyone vote, it will give everyone a feel good factor that everyone contributed in the advocacy effort, how? by voting in the pool and not doing anything about how everyone votes.

1. documented / undocumented is a matter of immigration status..... no human can be illegal..... an activity can be illegal which makes a person undocumented...... as defined by human law...... but above human law there is another law..... which is defined by an entity more or less we all believe in..... how can a new born child.... a creation of the creator be illegal? delivery of a child is not just a matter of mother.... its a matter of another life being brought into this world..... how can that child be illegal?
2. even felons are not shackled to bed.... unless someone is danger to others..... how can a pregnant woman just about to deliver a child be danger to anyone else.....
3. i lost my wallet few days back.... anyone could lose their wallet sometime or the other ..... it happens..... and during that time we are all driving with a license..... does it mean we all must be shackled to bed when delivering a child......
4. unpaid driving fines?? big deal.... obama had unpaid tickets.... which were paid just before announcing presidential nomination.... majority of the people voted him to become the president..... but according to you..... its ok to shackle someone when delivering a child if that person had unpaid tickets..... nice....
