Thanks for the replies. I guess, I do not have time to get all that done before I file the I485. Damn, should have taken care of it earlier. I guess I will have to fill the forms just as I have done for the labor and then hope that I am not stuck. Will follow up with my lawyer to get some legal advice too. If I learn anything new, I will sure post.

Guys : dont waste time replying to this guy's comments. Spend time convincing your friends to make it to DC. If you cannot go personally, sponsor someone.

Has Oct bulletin traditionally gone forward than Sept bulletin. I feel very bad for EB3. Oct has to open up for EB3.

Hi Guys.. need someone to answer my question, if possible. Thanks in advance.
My PD is Sep 2004 ( EB2 India ) and I was also July 2007 filer, and also the victim of my 485 being closed by USCIS nebraska in May 2008, which anyways got reopened within a month after supplying necessary documentation ( Approved I140 and moved to new company etc ) . I work on an EAD now. My question is
1) My AP is expiring in mid October. Should I file for a AP renewal and spend extra money ? Do I have a chance of getting GC in September ? Btw I was told last year at USCIS newark, NJ office that all the background checks and other things show clear on my case.
2) I moved my apartment 2 blocks away early this year, but my city and zip code are the same. If I file an AR11 ( change of address ) , will it raise any flags, since I have read on this forum that a change of address sometimes prompts an RFE. I am a bit scared of going through ups and downs, so I just feel like not doing anything which might create any kind of issue after so many years of pain.

Like in the movies Rang De Basanti .. newer generation was compared to Freedom Fighters and like in Lage Raho Munna Bhai -we had Non Violence portest Heroes, I am seeing very comparble Heroes in the Immigration Voice Core team. What is even more frustrating is that we are chasing this so called American Dream during the most potent years of our lives and literally wasting our lives away.
That's exactly it Ragz. That one statement summarized it all. The MOST potent and important years of our lives and our spouses lives are going Right down the drain. I feel even worse for the spouses. Atleast we HAVE jobs and our careers are going SOMEWHERE. The countless spouses on here and even more so not on here are suffering away today for a better tomorrow. It may just happen that when the Work permits/ GCs do come thru, our spouses' skills may be extinct due to having no work for so many months/years.
This is definitely an angle to explore. As my spouse was telling me the other day. God Forbid, if this problem lasts for another year and then some of us decide to move back coz we are tired of this nonsense, our spouses will find it just as hard to find jobs in our home countries as well. Think about it, our home countries are pumping out fresh blood everyday. Will the companies select them, or someone who has been out of touch with the job scene for 1-2 (or many more) years?

It`s great news for all the people who can file & who have already filed on july2nd.
Thanks IV for being so persistant. You guys have my support.
Not to undermine the current development , it is good news for tons of people including me, but the true victory will be when retrogression ends & all the backlog centers are cleared. All skilled workers (& sometimes their stay at home spouses)don`t have to wait for yearsssssss to get a GC.
& no before I get brickbats thrown at me I am not being pessimistic or a spoilt sport, I just feel that this gc mess should stop & skilled ppl shouldn`t be harressed by having to put their lives on hold for such long periods.
