Since many gurus are of the opinion of not going the legal way, here is what i think is the best.
1. try to create awareness of her wrong-doing on social sites. Put the video, (if you like) on the sites.
2. Put a comment on the sulekha ad itself for this nanny (i dont know if you can do this).
3. Put comments on City search site. citysearch.com
4. Scare that woman away saying that you have found out that she is hitting the baby and you can complain to the cops.
this way we can make sure nobody else is hiring her as nanny.

I believe you can safely go to the cops and report this abuse. As someone has said above, immigration and civil matters are handled separately. You can (and probably) should get an advice from a lawyer about any implications to your GC journey here, just so that you are prepared for it. But letting this person go unchecked is not something you can afford.
Many corporations do not have enough resources to find out whether or not they are hiring legal employees. Even the republican candidates for presidency discussed this on stage in their debates that a person cannot check legal employability of everyone they hire. Many of us hire and pay incash for yard work, house maids etc. without checking if they are allowed to work in US. It's mainly the employee's responsibility to make sure they are allowed to legally work in US. That's why EVerify is voluntary and not a compulsion yet.

Your story about how you are affected by retrogression/back log etc. It could be as simple as 'I have a BS in Engineering and am stuck in back log for 2 years and cannot fulfil my dreams professionally' to 'I have a PhD in Nuclear Science and US needs me coz there are only a handful of us!' Anything and everything works.
I have literally recieved stories of stay at home moms (because of H4 they cannot work) to folks who have been interviewed by MIT! The whole spectrum helps.....please please send us your stories...we need all the weapons when we go face the senators on behalf of IV
As another fellow IV member who just sent me his story clearly mentioned, and I quote him
'Hope my story adds another spoke in the wheel. The thought of having to wait 2-3 or even more years just to be able to file the I-485 is damning. It's time to quit whining and do something about it. Want y'all to know that I'm available to help out in any way I can.'

donated $50; learned about the organization on June 8, participated in the event - not knowing any of the issues. Was an eye opener to the legislative process. I did not do much, just accompanied the IV members to the meetings - these members were well prepared to present the case as well as to answer questions. I am impressed, and here I am registered and donated.

By pure luck and fluke, I was able to get an Infopass appt for Sep 11
There was only one appt available for the entire month of sep 08 at Tampa office.
Hopefully I will know something concrete on EB-2 visa drainage system.LOL :)

I am in the same boat as you are ... There is injustice everywhere? As explained, I feel unjustice becoz EB3 can port to EB2 , I feel unjustice becoz L1,L2 get it quickly .. list continues. FYI... I came well before most of you guys in queue. PPL who came after me got Labor very quickly and are ahead of me.. So is that not Injustice to me? Shouldnt USCIS be notified and Shouldnt IV followup on adminFix ? when ppl jump or port dates from EB3 to EB2 dates will no go beyond ( just with 3k numbers) shouldnt IV followup and do adminfix so that some set of ppl will stop discussing this issue ? We can keep discussing things that will never happen.

And I do notice large number of engineers, doctors, architects who are immigrants, and that�s what concerns me.
I would re-insist that Rallies are worthless and not worth your time. Your country is growing economically and you should spend you time looking for a job back home instead.
We earned our place dude. We know what we do. We have 'it' in us. Whatever 'it' means. Given a chance, we will rebuild the nation for you (for people like you visiting forum and wasting valuable time rather than doing something useful) and we will make your future generations (there will be many of our future generations as well in that lot), look back and feel proud that there was a group of committed individuals who came from distant lands, believed in the system and stood for what they think is right and did what they believed. So, Mr. Whoever-you-are-wasting-time-in-some-dream, just get the heck out of here.

what makes you state with confidance that the preadjudicated cases will be evaluated. can you please explain the basis of your statement. both my case and my wife's case has been pre-adjudicated and i am waiting for my green card. so do you think we should expect our green card some time next month without any additional followup. i would hate to see my case being sidetracked when some one else with pd and rd much beyond mine is serviced. any thoughts and insights. not trying to offend anyone. just trying to get some information.
